Rajasthan Tour: How We Came To Know About Splendor of Jaipur

For me and my wife, it is very tough to spend weekends together as I am a finance consultant in Delhi and she is a doctor in Gurgaon. Generally she is in hospital on Sundays.

One day, it was a great surprise for me when she said she is free on weekend and wants a break. We were very perplexed as where to go. We wanted a romantic getaway, something subtle and pristine. We asked our friends as where to go. A hill station was the idea of a majority. But it was boring for us. Then one of our relatives suggested Jaipur in Rajasthan. We searched about Rajasthan tour on various travel websites.

We got mesmerized by its beauty. In no time we packed our bags and called up online car rental company. The car turned up on our door with a trained driver who knew a lot about Rajasthan. This was icing on the cake. The rental service provider came up with a tight itinerary for us keeping in mind time restrain of 2 days. And we started our Rajasthan tour with Jaipur.

We started early in the morning and reached Jaipur in exact 5 hours. After checking in a nice hotel and getting fresh we moved on for a glimpse of this amazing city. Very soon, we came to know why it is popular as pink city. We explored grand City Palace. If you go there, don’t miss decorative Peacock Gate and grand collection of silver vessels and the armory reflecting the history of Jaipur.

Then we headed to the spectacular Hawa Mahal and amazing Jantar Mantar. The pink city walls and gates are a visual delight I must say. We watched sunset over Jaipur from the sun temple and it was very romantic.

Our second day was spent visiting the sights and amazing forts around city. We drove directly to the Amer fort in morning. My god! It beauty is above the world. I love classic architectural marvels. In that sense, Amer fort is a blockbuster.

We left the hotel in the afternoon and reached Nahargarh Fort. We also saw the Galit Ji temple. After that we drove back to Delhi with memories of Rajasthan tour which we will cherish always. It was our first trip in a Rajasthan’s city and we are looking forward to second tour, of course by a taxi only.
